Working with Agencies
United Way of Taiwan plays an intermediary role by linking donors with social welfare agencies. We raise funds and explore new resources for agencies in order to assist them in providing quality services to people in need. More then a fundraiser, UWT also works collectively with agencies as a so called ¡§partner¡¨ to deal with pressing community issues.
Funding and accountability
Your gifts (cash, in kind, or time) are investments to help our community become a better place to live. United Way of Taiwan works not only on finding out what is worth for your investments but also in assisting social welfare agencies to concentrate their efforts on services.
Moreover, UWT has established a formal audit system with the purpose of achieving greater transparency , accountability and measurable results. If you have any questions regarding how UWT utilizes your investments, you can simply contact us at unitedway@unitedway.org.tw
- Funding
Many small and medium-sized social welfare agencies in Taiwan have troubles finding resources to achieve their mission and carry out their excellent programs. These agencies have to spend a lot of time and energy in trying to capture public attention for fundraising. Through United Way of Taiwan's funding system, agencies are able to save energy and concentrate on the clients they serve . Furthermore, we work with our partner agencies to gather information, identify the causes of problems, and integrate services in order to satisfy the community's needs. We and our partner agencies endeavor to maximize the outcomes and impact of your investments.
- Accountability
UWT's priority mission of transparency and accountability has made us a trustworthy and reliable steward to the public. We are able to provide clear and accurate information on how we spend money and allocate resources. UWT has also established an audit system to ensure your investments have been used appropriately by the agencies. If you need further information about which agencies and programs we have funded, the amount we have allocated to each of them, and our fundraising performance and allocation criteria, please contact us (with a link to Program Management Department).
