United Way Taiwan believes a successful fundraising activity also plays an educative role by helping people to understand charity and constantly introduce innovative fundraising activities. Here are some of UWT activities :

1. Workplace campaign (one-day salary donation)

¡§One-day Salary Donation¡¨ is our most classic and well-known fundraising activity. Different from United Way's classic payroll deduction worldwide, many companies in Taiwan cooperate with UWT to organize campaigns encouraging colleagues to give their one-day salary. Since 1993, there have been almost 100,000 people involved in workplace campaigns which raised more than NT$ 60,000,000 and funded 3,587 programs. In some companies like Land Bank, Eva Air, and Costco, the campaign has even become one of their traditions and an important part of their corporate culture.

2. Citibank-UWT annual campaign

Citibank-UWT Annual Campaign is a classic fundraising activity held every year since 1995. Between 1995 and 2005, the campaign raised NTD$ 620,000,000 (USD$19 million) thanks to 220,000 participants. The strategy developed by Citibank and UWT has been to give out a gift to donors who give more than NTD$3,000 in the campaign. In 2006, the campaign raised NTD$69,360,549 (USD$ 2 million).

3. Monthly giving

Currently, UWT has 7,925 donors who are willing to give on a monthly basis. In 2006, these donors gave an average of NTD$5,600,000 per month to support 519 programs in Taiwan. UWT highly appreciates and values its donors who give on a monthly basis. Due to their regular support, many social service agencies are able to focus on developing and improving their programs for people in need.
